Harrisburg, PA — Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania will host a paycheck protection rally featuring Michelle Malkin on Wednesday, June 4 at the State Capitol in Harrisburg. Hundreds of activists plan to gather in support of ending special treatment for public sector unions, whose dues are automatically deducted by the state government.
“The special exemptions that public employee unions enjoy are out of control – no other similar organization gets this special treatment ,” said AFP-Pennsylvania State Director Jennifer Stefano. “We need to remind the legislators that they, and all other state government employees, work for all of the people of this Commonwealth and not just the public sector unions. I am excited that Michelle Malkin will be joining us at our June 4 rally to urge our legislators to step up and pass Paycheck Protection now.”
“We need to show the legislators in Harrisburg that it is time to end the unfair special treatment afforded to public employee unions in Pennsylvania. If a politician were caught using public funds for political gain, it would be an absolute scandal. Why is it any different for public sector unions?” said Michelle Malkin. “I’m looking forward to being in Harrisburg on June 4th so that together, we can get Pennsylvania on a path toward more worker freedom.”
