Citizen Watchdog Event March 23rd

March 14, 2013

The Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity has joined forces with Americans for Prosperity Foundation Pennsylvania to bring you a day filled with information to become your own Citizen Watchdog. We want you to be a part of it.

Empowering Citizens with tools on investigative reporting, social media techniques, and most importantly how everyday citizens can be the eyes and ears in their own community.  Going forward, we need to be the media, we need to be watchdogs, we need to become the reporters!

All eyes were on Michigan in December as their Right to Work legislation was passed, we will have some of the key players, and a piece of the Tent the Union thugs tore down. We’ll also have a legislative update and learn techniques to make you a better advocate for your issues. You’ll learn about voter integrity, and how to be competitive using social media techniques that hold elected officials accountable.

We all have stories of Waste, Fraud, and Abuse in our own communities and near by. Many of you became active because of a local issue that you got involved with or become aware of.

Please join us on Saturday March 23  9-5 pm for Training including Lunch.

Here you can learn how you can get involved to hold our elected officials accountable and set this country on a better path for future generations.

Join Americans for Prosperity Foundation-PA, Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity, and Information Leaders for a lunch and afternoon of training where you will learn the best tools and techniques in investigative journalism, new media, open records and opposition research.
