An initiative petition is circulating that will create a Taxpayers’ Bill of Rights in the State of Oklahoma.  The initiative, modeled after Sen. Randy Brogdon’s (R-Owasso) legislation, would limit government spending to the sum of inflation plus population growth.  Furthermore, the proposal does away with the Rainy Day Fund, which has become a slush fund for the Governor and the Legislature, and creates a true emergency fund and a budget stabilization fund.

The big government, big spending liberals are at it again, slinging around all sorts of misinformation and scare tactics about the effects of a Taxpayers Bill of Rights.  Mainly they claim that TABOR is destroying Colorado.
