-Signs No Climate Tax Pledge-

EDMOND-The Oklahoma chapter of the free-market grassroots group Americans for Prosperity (AFP-OK) today applauded U.S. Representative John Sullivan (1st District) for signing the group’s “No Climate Tax Pledge.” By doing so, Sullivan joins over 170 lawmakers on the federal, state and local levels pledging to “oppose legislation relating to climate change that includes a net increase in government revenue.” Other Oklahoma signers include: Speaker of House Chris Benge and 3 additional state representatives.

National organizations Americans for Prosperity and American Majority are proud to announce a series of joint events called “The Barnstorming Tour for Liberty!” set to kick off on Monday, May 18th and go through Wednesday, May 20th in cities throughout Oklahoma. The tour, which will cover 8 cities across the state over the course of 3 days, is designed to build awareness of local and state issues amongst citizens around the state and communicate to them how they can be more involved in their community.

Yesterday, AFP-Oklahoma held the first of 31 taxpayer tea parties around the state of Oklahoma and it was a huge success! Despite a "global warming" wind chill in the 30's, over 100 people showed up to lend their voices to the growing discontent in this nation concerning the free spending, bailout happy administration.
