This much-needed legislation was created to address the growth of our states Universal Service Fund a subsidy which phone users pay on their monthly phone bills. The Fund has experienced steady growth over the years to enhance the profits of small, rural phone companies a trend which has forced consumers to pay more and more for their service over time.

The Cartel wowed yet another crowd, this time in Norman!
School is out and the Oklahoma summer is brutal, but that didnt stop AFP-Oklahoma from taking The Cartel out on the road, this time to downtown Norman USA.
The site for this discussion about education reform was Joys on the corner of Crawford and Main. Even though this was a lunchtime affair, a healthy crowd of 75 came out to see the documentary, The Cartel, then interact with panelists to discuss education issues within the state. AFP-Oklahoma was joined by state Rep. Scott Martin and Ginger Tilley, executive director of the Professional Oklahoma Educators.
