AFP-Oklahoma joined the Tea Party Express Tour at Oklahoma's State Capitol on November 4th, for a "Countdown to Judgment Day" rally. The tour was strategically planned to take place one year prior to the 2010 elections in order to highlight the way Congress has overstepped its bounds in the lives of Americans, and to remind them that we will remember when we go to the polls in 2010!

Yesterday was a great day for AFP Oklahoma! Along with the Sooner Tea Party folks, we held a "Recess Rally" on the steps of the Oklahoma Capitol. Nearly 1000 attended the event and with 15 volunteers, we were able to acquire over 300 signatures for our Patients First petition. Everyone received one of our "I AM AFP" buttons which were a big hit.

Hope you're able to attend one of the many "Recess Rallies" scheduled for this Saturday, August 22, from 10 am - noon around Oklahoma.

There are over 1000 rallies being held around the country adding their names to the growing list of those not satisfied with the government's health care proposals.

Senator James Inhofe (Okla.) today became the 230th lawmaker to sign AFP's No Climate Tax Pledge. See his video below urging others who feel that climate change should not be used as a guise to grow government to join him in signing the pledge. A full list of signers can be found by clicking here.
