November 11, 2013

“Ready to make Oklahoma a limited government model for the rest of the nation.”

OKLAHOMA CITY – Americans for Prosperity (AFP) has named John Tidwell as the state director for the Oklahoma chapter of AFP. Tidwell brings nearly 20 years of experience in state government and grassroots advocacy to fight for economic freedom in the Sooner State.

“I’m excited to serve our hardworking activists and stand ready to help them make Oklahoma a limited government model for the rest of the nation,” said John Tidwell, Oklahoma state director of Americans for Prosperity. “We have a golden opportunity in our state to work with principled elected leaders to promote policies that reduce government spending, let taxpayers keep more of their hard-earned income, reform our regulatory burden and expand economic freedom.”

AFP-OK is dedicated to the research and education of economic issues impacting Oklahoma’s future. They activate and engage citizens of limited government and free market principles through grassroots efforts. AFP-OK was founded in 2004 and currently has more than 21,000 active members statewide.

“Oklahoma is a state under strong conservative leadership,” continued Tidwell. “We are working to ensure that conservative policies remain for all tax-payers across the state – ranging from blocking Obamacare and Medicaid expansion to expanding school choice for all Oklahomans.”
