Oklahoma City, OK – Today Americans for Prosperity Oklahoma, the state’s foremost advocate for economic freedom, issued a statement as details of a budget deal from the Budget Conference Committee continue to emerge.

AFP – OK State Director, John Tidwell said,

“Oklahoma is blessed with a right-thinking delegation in Congress, but we want them to know that we’re paying attention to what goes on up in Washington. That’s why our activists have been hitting the phones today, urging our Representatives to take a stand for spending limits. Oklahomans know that when we spend too much, we have to cut back and stick to a budget. It’s time for Congress to do the same.”

Earlier this month, AFP launched a nationwide effort called No Empty Promises, which empowered free-market activists to make their voice heard at local town hall meetings, and take action via phone, email, and social media.
