As President Obama promotes his public health care agenda in Cleveland on Thursday, Americans for Prosperity activists will rally outside the event to show President Obama and Congress that Ohioans don’t want a government takeover of health care.

“We’ve heard enough health care proposals from Washington that give government all the decision-making power,” said Americans for Prosperity Ohio Director Jack Boyle. “It is time for citizens to tell their legislators to stop, turn around, and pursue real reforms that put patients first.”

On April 15, 2009, AFP-Ohio hosted an enthusiastic crowd for the Columbus tea party on the steps of the Ohio Statehouse. Estimated to be as large as 7,000, the gathering loudly comminicated its wish that the US government and the State of Ohio stop outrageous spending and live within its means.
