April 12 Marks Ohio's Tax Freedom Day

April 12, 2012

According to the Tax Foundation, an organization dedicated to educating taxpayers about sound tax policy and the size of the tax burden borne by Americans at all levels of government, April 12 marks Ohio’s Tax Freedom Day.

What is Tax Freedom Day? Tax Freedom Day is the day that Ohio’s residents have worked long enough to pay off all tax obligations at the federal, state, and local levels. Before today, all of the income you have earned in 2012 has gone to paying your combined tax bill.
