Rally today at Speaker Boehner's West Chester office
Americans for Prosperity-Ohio will be joining The Anderson Tea Party, The West Chester Tea Party, The Brown County Tea Party, the Liberty Alliance of Cincinnati, Cincinnati East Tea Party, Glendale Tea party and the Northern KY Tea Party to deliver letters to John Boehner’s office today (Monday, July 25, 2011) at 4:30pm.
The House has recently passed Cut, Cap and Balance, a dynamic approach to reducing spending, reducing the debt and actually involves getting the United States to a Balanced Budget Amendment. We want to have a large turnout at Speaker Boehners office to rally in support of his efforts to hold the line and demand large spending cuts, a cap on future spending and the passage of a Balanced Budget Amendment.
I am asking each one of you to try and make to the rally. This is a rally, not a protest. Signage should indicate this. We want to send the Speaker a message, We will support you in your efforts to cut spending and put a budget in place that will reverse this spending spree the President and his allies want to continue, to the detriment of our country and our economy.
Please join us today at the Speakers West Chester office located at 7969 Cincinnati-Dayton Road, Suite B, West Chester, OH 45069.
Please bring a letter to deliver to Speaker Boehner. The Message to Speaker Boehner should be your own but please consider using language which includes the following, “You hold and control the gavel of the US House of Representatives. We are asking you as Speaker to tell the US Senate that not one bill will be brought to the House floor until the Senate votes up or down on the Cut, Cap and Balance bill, and not just table it. If the government shuts down, it is because the Senate did not vote for an Amendment that the American People Want.”
If you cannot attend, please email your letter for hand delivery to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
