Well over 200 Ohioans came to Hands Off Our Energy town hall

Well over 200 Ohioans joined us and the Marietta OH 9-12 Project for a “Hands Off Our Energy” town hall. Former State Representative and AFP-Ohio Policy Director Seth Morgan moderated the panel, who explained to attendees how overregulation and Ohio law are causing their energy prices to skyrocket.

Citizens learned that because of an Ohio law requiring energy companies to use a certain percentage of “renewable energy,” our energy prices are higher. While AFP-Ohio supports any renewable energy that emerges and is successful in the free-market, we want Ohioans to know that laws regarding renewable energy in Ohio are currently driving their energy costs even higher. And, our hard earned tax dollars are being used to subsidize renewable energy sources that are not supported by the free market.

The panel also explained how the overregulation of the Obama’s administration and the unelected bureaucrats at the EPA are driving up the cost of energy an most everything we buy.
