Protect Our Home & Property
Please tell your State Senator to urge the Senate Leadership to act on Senate Bill 37, which will restrict Eminent Domain ABUSE. The proposed constitutional amendment passed the House with strong bipartisan support on a final vote of 98-18.
This bill would make the protection of private property part of the North Carolina Constitution. Right now there is nothing protecting private property from Eminent Domain Abuse except laws which are easily changed. This bill would make protection part of the NC Constitution that could not be changed by a future legislature without a vote of the people.
Private property is the foundation upon which our country was built. It should not be taken from one private owner for the benefit of another private owner. This bill will insure that everyone’s home and property will be protected from such abuse.
A vote for this bill is a vote to protect private property and to put that protection in the NC Constitution – where it belongs. Tell your member of the NC Senate to act now and pass a Constitutional Amendment stopping Eminent Domain Abuse.
