AFP Launches New Effort Aimed At Obamacare
TV Ad, Online Risk Calculator Educate on Real Dangers of the Law
Arlington, VA – Today Americans for Prosperity, the nation’s largest grassroots advocate for economic freedom, announced the launch of a broad new effort that highlights the negative consequences of President Obama’s healthcare law. The new effort is intended to reach those who stand to suffer the most under ObamaCare, and educate them on how the law could negatively impact their healthcare.
The new TV ad, called “Questions,” features the story of Julie, a mother of two who started paying close attention to her family’s healthcare options after her son began having seizures. The threat of shrinking options, higher premiums, and Washington bureaucrats making healthcare decisions leaves her with serious concerns about ObamaCare. The TV ad begins airing in heavy rotation on broadcast and cable networks in Virginia and Ohio on Tuesday.
“The American people have serious questions and concerns about the negative impact of ObamaCare,”explained AFP President Tim Phillips. “They are waking up to higher premiums and fewer choices, but are being told by the White House and outside groups that everything is just fine. We feel it is important to provide education on the true consequences of government intrusion into the private healthcare decisions of families, and provide a counter to disinformation that’s out there.”
Viewers of the new ad are directed to visit ObamaCareRiskFactors.com, where an online calculator will assess each individual’s risk of suffering painful effects of the new law, and enable them to share their own risk factors.
In conjunction with the TV buy, AFP state chapters will be hosting events and meet-ups around the country to further educate and provide information on the negative consequences of ObamaCare.
