Stop the Obamacare Lies

January 18, 2014 J

It’s the Lie of 2013

If you can believe it, President Obama told such a fantastical fib about ObamaCare that even Politifact has agreed it was the Lie of the Year for 2013.

‘If you like your health care plan, you can keep it.’ It’s become infamous now.  ‘This fall, as cancellation letters were going out to approximately 4 million Americans, the public realized Obama’s breezy assurances were wrong,’ Politifact wrote in December.

But the President isn’t the only one who’s complicit in the lie. Lawmakers all over the country like Senator Kay Hagan repeated it to their constituents, and now they’re doing nothing to help those with cancelled plans and lost access to trusted doctors.

As long as ObamaCare is law, we’re all stuck living under the Lie of the Year. Here are just some of the instances where Senator Kay Hagan misled the public about the ObamaCare disaster:

I think the fundamental promise of this effort to the Americans people has been and continues to be that if you got health insurance now, you’re happy with it, you can keep it.
— PPACA Markup hearing, 6/17/2009

The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee crafted a bill that ensures that people who like their health insurance and their doctors keep them.
— Senate Floor, 9/23/2009

First of all, I want to be clear that if you have your insurance, you like your insurance and your doctors, you keep them. We don’t want to do anything that’s going to change that part.
— Senate Floor, 10/10/2009

ObamaCare means less choice, higher costs, and lost coverage.
Tell Sen. Hagan No More Lies!
