Americans for Prosperity to President Obama: American Workers are Not Your Political Pawns
New Ad Highlights the Costs of Cronyism
Raleigh, NC The White House gambled with $500,000 taxpayer dollars and 1,100 workers lost their jobs. Thats the message from Americans for Prosperitys new ad, airing in six states including North Carolina, about the White Houses payoff to political allies at the now-bankrupt Solyndra company.
The White House is reaping what it has sown, explains Dallas Woodhouse, Director of Americans for Prosperity North Carolina. Political cronyism and bad economic policy have put over 1,000 Americans out of work and wasted half a billion in taxpayer dollars.
AFP is spending upwards of $6 million in the first major ad buy of 2012 targeting the Obama Administration. The ad, which launches today, is an effort to educate the American public about the staggering cost and disturbing backdoor dealings of the Solyndra gamble. This ad comes after AFPs previous ad about the Solyndra scandal.
North Carolinians demand accountability from their leaders, says Woodhouse. They are going to want to know why the Obama administration is subsidizing politically-favored corporations.
The extent of the White Houses cronyism continues to be revealed. The latest reports show that the Administration knew that Solyndra was going down, but suppressed reports till after the 2010 elections.
Let there be no doubt: the White House deliberately placed a risky bet on Solyndra and lost. Woodhouse continues, Now they want to hide the embarrassing facts about the workers and taxpayers who are left to foot the bill.
