VIDEO: Americans for Prosperity Believes in A Better Wisconsin

AMERICANS FOR PROSPERITY RESPONDS TO WALKER VICTORY

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) President Tim Phillips said this in response to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s victory:

“Tonight, Wisconsin voters made a critical decision for the future prosperity of the state. Their decision to reject the government union led effort to recall Governor Scott Walker provides some crucial insights for the rest of our nation.
“First, elected leaders can take on and defeat the most powerful special interest group in the nation, government unions, if their reforms are truly bold.

“Second, the temper tantrums led by government unions were totally ineffective. Citizens recognize that some government workers have become an entitled class with far bigger pensions, better health care, and far more job security than those who work in the private sector.

“Finally, government unions and the Left have to be wondering about President Obama’s willingness to stand with them at a tough moment. On Friday, the President was in Minneapolis — just 40 miles from the Wisconsin state line — and he chose to head for the tall grass instead of going to Wisconsin and standing with his allies.”

Americans for Prosperity also released the following highlight video, which captures recent efforts in Wisconsin to educate citizens on the positive impact of Governor Walker’s budget reforms. Click below to watch!
