National Prosperity Action Day Huge Success with Over 400,000 Calls Made
Easily surpassing original goal of 250,000 live calls in a single day
Arlington, VA- Today Americans for Prosperity (AFP) announced the successful completion of National Prosperity Action Day with over 400,000 live calls made yesterday by grassroots volunteers throughout the country. The calls were designed to change the tone of the political debate in favor of economic freedom and limited government.
AFP President Tim Phillips joined Virginia state director Audrey Jackson and dozens of volunteers at AFP’s field office in Leesburg, VA. Their words of encouragement were broadcast via live stream to hundreds of phone banks across the country.
“What a great day for economic freedom!” Said Tim Phillips, President of Americans for Prosperity. “This truly shows our strength as an organization and the strength of our field program. Thank you to the thousands of volunteers who made calls throughout the country. It is because of our grassroots activists that AFP easily surpassed our goal of 250,000 and made over 400,000 live phone calls in a single day.”
Over 100 AFP offices hosted phone banks yesterday to mobilize concerned citizens and send a powerful message to President Obama. The National Prosperity Action Day builds on AFP’s successful field program, which has already placed nearly 3.8 million issue advocacy calls using the Freedom Phones technology.
The National Prosperity Action Day is a coalition effort supported by multiple fiscally conservative organizations including 60 Plus, Concerned Woman for America, and the National Rifle Association.
