Americans for Prosperity Responds to November Jobs Report

December 07, 2012

Arlington, VA – Americans for Prosperity, the nation’s foremost advocate for economic freedom, released the following statement from AFP President Tim Phillips:

“The November jobs report is a somber reminder of how American families are suffering in the Obama economy. According to BLS, last month 350,000 Americans gave up hope of finding a job, leaving 12 million continuing the job hunt in a very tough environment. This sluggish economic ‘recovery’ won’t close America’s jobs gap until 2025.

“With so many Americans hurting, it is troubling that President Obama’s focus is on raising taxes and continuing his record of runaway government spending. Those policies haven’t worked before, and they’ll only cause more economic pain if allowed to continue.”
