AFP Responds to House Passage of Delays to ObamaCare Implementation

Democrats vote was “hypocrisy at its worst”

Arlington, VA – Today, Americans for Prosperity the nation’s largest free market advocacy group, responded to the House passage of HR 2667, the Authority for Mandate Delay Act and the Fairness for American Families Act (HB 2668).

Tim Phillips, President of Americans for Prosperity responded with the following statement:

“Instead of siding with everyday Americans, Democrats with this vote, have created a special carve out for businesses and corporations while refusing to extend the same benefits to the public.  This vote was simply a matter of fairness for the American people.  This is hypocrisy at its worst. Both the Employer and Individual Mandate should be delayed a year.

“House Republicans did the right thing today – standing up for fairness and voting to protect individual Americans from the harmful impact of ObamaCare, just as the White House has already done for businesses.”
