AFP Foundation Kicks off 6th Annual DREAM Summit
Tonight our sister organization, Americans for Prosperity Foundation, honored Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker with the George Washington Award, in recognition of Governor Walker’s defense and ongoing commitment to economic freedom.
The award was presented at AFP Foundation’s 6th Annual Defending the American Dream Summit, where Governor Scott Walker was the keynote speaker at the Tribute to Ronald Reagan Dinner.
Governor Walker spoke to a packed room of over 2,100 AFP Foundation activists about his ongoing fight for prosperity in his own state of Wisconsin. “The reason I have great hope for America is… the fact that for more than two centuries, what has made America great… is that in a moment of crisis… there have been men and women of courage who thought more about the future of their children and grandchildren and there have been great Americans willing to stand with them every step of the way. I challenge you to this: let this be one of those moments.”
The Defending the American Dream Summit runs from August 2-4 at the Washington Hilton Hotel, and today’s speakers included Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell, Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson, author and blogger Michelle Malkin, Rusty Humphries, Arthur Brooks, Vicki McKenna and more.
Tomorrow, the Summit will continue at the Washington Hilton Hotel with newly-confirmed speaker Laura Ingraham, Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, Mark Levin, Brent Bozell, Tucker Carlson and many more.
