AFP Calls for Senate Passage of Full Extension of Existing Tax Rates
Arlington, VA- Today, Americans for Prosperity (AFP), the nation’s leading grassroots advocate for economic freedom and limited government, issued the following statement regarding Plan B, which the House decided not to take up this evening.
“Amid the news that the House did not take up the so-called Plan B, Americans for Prosperity calls on the Senate to pass the full extension immediately and the President to sign that into law to avoid the fiscal cliff,” said AFP President Tim Phillips. “There is no reason for anyone’s taxes to go up in January. It’s time to move past this obsession with taxes to the hard work of solving our fiscal woes: reducing the runaway government spending that’s driving up our debt and deficits.”
