Tax Day Rallies Spread Across Country
With April 17 fast approaching, Tax Day rallies and events are taking place around the country — from Florida and New Hampshire to Colorado, Indiana, and more. These events both encourage and educate AFP activists on the ways in which we can work to take back our country and put it on a path of financial prosperity.
While proponents of bigger government and higher taxes argue that increased taxes are necessary to grow government revenue, hardworking Americans know that economic freedom and the incentive to succeed drives prosperity. When individuals and businesses and not burdened with government taxation, they are free to use their resources to promote economic growth, which is better for our communities, our nation, and even our tax revenue. When economic activity grows, government revenue increase as well. Taxation kills grown before it can even begin.
Under the current system, Americans must work from January 1 to “Tax Day” April 17, just to pay their yearly 29.2% federal, state, and local taxes. If you’ve had enough, come out to one of the many Tax Day rallies taking place across the country this weekend, and let your voice be heard.
