Joseph O. Montes, AFP-New Mexico State Director
Joseph O. Montes is native of Santa Fe, New Mexico, a concerned taxpayer, and State Director of American’s for Prosperity’s New Mexico state chapter. With an extensive career working to improve entrepreneurial and small business development, Montes has first-hand knowledge of the challenges businesses in our country face each and every day.
As a business development and economic policy consultant, Montes has assisted small businesses at the national and regional levels. Due to his entrepreneurial experience and work with small businesses, Montes is a fervent advocate of removing cumbersome government regulations that are stifling job creation and economic growth.
He served in the Administrations of Presidents Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush and has also managed humanitarian assistance and law enforcement training programs in Central America and the Caribbean region.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from George Washington University and completed graduate business studies at the University de Navarra in Barcelona, Spain.
