AFPNM Is one Year old-How are we doing?
The New Mexico chapter of Americans for Prosperity just completed its’ first anniversary. And it’s been a great year! Already over 20,000 New Mexicans have engaged with us to join the fight for economic freedom and individual liberty!
We have frequently visited with neighbors in every corner of the state to hear from New Mexicans who are committed to eliminating governmental overreach so that they can set out to create opportunities for themselves and their family rather than rely on government programs to sustain an unfulfilling existence.
We have staked our position on many local, state and national issues. From opposing drilling bans in Mora County to the fundamental usurpation of our individual health care decisions brought on by Obamacare, we’re fighting to broaden and strengthen New Mexico’s economic landscape by lessening government’s stranglehold on the economy and entrepreneurial activity.
What makes this effort unique is a simple dedication to a set of principles embedded in the Declaration of Independence: Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
While I’ll be writing more on several issues in coming weeks, I wanted to start by asking what topics are important to you. Would you take a few minutes and answer this survey? It’s important to us that we hear from you –we value your input as we make our plans for the coming year.
Across the country, Americans for Prosperity activists have earned huge grassroots victories. Our proudest moments were executing the passage of right-to-work legislation in Michigan, tax cuts in Indiana, and supporting school choice in several states. Such policy victories have an enormous impact nationally, but earning any free-market reform requires that you volunteer to put your boots on the ground. With your helpful feedback, we can strengthen our efforts here in New Mexico.
Won’t you let us know what issues are most important to you by taking this survey?
Additionally, I’m sure you have friends or loved ones who feel the same way that you do about economic freedom. Click here to pass this email along to them; we’d love to hear from them, too!
