Take Action to Oppose the ObamaCare Medicaid Expansion!
NOTE: NJ Senate to vote on S2644 Thursday, June 20.
AFP has alerted citizens about just how costly and misguided the ObamaCare Medicaid expansion would be for New Jersey.
Costs to New Jersey taxpayers would be $1.5 BILLION in the first ten years alone. Federal expenditures would balloon to $870 BILLION by 2020, more than double what they were in 2010, adding hundreds of billions more to our massive $16.7 TRILLION federal debt.
But the costs to patients would be beyond any dollar figure.
After all, adding more New Jerseyans to the Medicaid rolls just condemns them to low quality care and shockingly worse health care outcomes. Why would any American want to be trapped in a broken Medicaid system that renders them…
- 13% more likely to die after surgery than patients with no health insurance at all?
- 50% more likely to die after coronary bypass than those on Medicare or private insurance?
- 2-3 times more likely to die from cancer than other patients?
These statistics are downright tragic and exactly why Avik Roy of the Manhattan Institute called Medicaid a “humanitarian catastrophe”!
Now it’s time to make your voice heard!
Send a message to your representatives in Trenton to oppose ObamaCare, vote NO on the Medicaid expansion and to fight to implement patient-centered, free-market policies that will make quality health care affordable for all Americans!
DOUBLE! AFP will double weight the votes on this bill in our Taxpayer Scorecard!
