Lonegan: AFP Will Lead Fight to Repeal Obamacare
BOGOTA, NJ — Americans for Prosperity State Director Steve Lonegan said today that repealing the President’s so-called Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will be a top priority for the state’s largest grass-roots taxpayer organization.
“While it appears that the Supreme Court has upheld most of this law, Congress must approve funding and that’s one battleground. The other is within our state where AFP will continue the fight against creating a state-based Health Care Exchange and other implements of this dangerous job-killing legislation.
“Justice Roberts insisted in his decision that this is a policy issue to be settled by policymakers,” Lonegan added. “Today’s ruling will ensure that it will be and Americans for Prosperity will continue to educate and inform taxpayers as to the disastrous effects of this law and to let them know about those who were responsible for its passage.”
