PR: Lonegan Statement Regarding Plan to Replace and Monetize Scudder Falls I-95 Bridge
For Immediate Release – May 17, 2012
Americans for Prosperity state director Steve Lonegan has issued the following statement regarding a plan to replace and monetize the Scudder Falls I-95 Bridge.
“The scheme that’s been hatched to replace the Scudder Falls Bridge and turn it into a toll road is emblematic of Trenton’s contempt for hard-working New Jersey taxpayers. There is no reason to tear down and rebuild a perfectly sound structure, amass over $300 million more in debt on the backs of taxpayers and then slam motorists with even more tolls. And the government is not fooling anyone by calling it economic growth. New Jersey taxpayers know better and they have had enough of the endless borrowing and waste that is destroying our state. The plan to replace the Scudder Falls Bridge is just more of the same and it needs to be stopped.”
Americans for Prosperity does not support or oppose candidates for public office.
