BOGOTA, NJ – New Jersey’s offshore windmill subsidies could have a further devastating effect on energy costs and the state’s economy a new report says. The study was prepared by the Beacon Hill Institute and commissioned by Americans for Prosperity.

“This analysis is devastating,” said Americans for Prosperity state director Steve Lonegan. “This report definitively shows that offshore windmill farms are a bad deal for New Jersey.

DATELINE: NEW YORK, NY – An Americans for Prosperity New York activist today filed suit challenging New York State’s participation in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) Cap & Trade program.

Buffalo-area activist Lisa Thrun, lead plaintiff in the lawsuit and volunteer grassroots chair for Americans for Prosperity’s New York chapter, explained the impetus for filing the lawsuit.

On Monday at 4PM, the New Jersey State Senate will be voting on Bill S2946 and Resolution SCR-164. These bills are a desperate attempt by the far left to prevent Governor Christie from pulling our state out of the devious and destructive RGGI Cap & Trade scheme.

Contact your state senator now and tell them to vote “NO” on Bill S2946 and SCR-164! Demand that your representative take a stand against the job-destroying RGGI Cap & Trade scheme.
