Fighting For A More Prosperous New Jersey In 2014! –AFP-NJ state director Daryn Iwicki
You might not think it or know it, but you and many others in New Jersey have won the lottery. This is one lottery we didn’t have to spend money to win, because we won the lottery of life. You and I have been blessed by being born in the greatest, freest nation in the world — America. For our friends who have come here, they too have won by being offered greater opportunity and prosperity via our essential principle of freedom.
Still, as Ronald Reagan once said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” Here in New Jersey, you and I need to continue to fight to preserve freedom and make sure that future generations will have the opportunity to live the American Dream in our great state. We need to fight even harder to ensure the quality of life everyone deserves to strive for.
2013 delivered some grim and sobering news about the state of our economy. Corporations are fleeing our state taking with them jobs and opportunities. We saw an unemployment rate still hovering near 8%. College students are finding it harder to find employment. Our property taxes remain the highest in the nation and all of this has led to New Jersey having the highest outbound migration in the nation.
We are at a crossroads. The issues we face are complex, but the answers are simple. AFP looks forward to lowering our property and income taxes to allow people to live the American Dream, reducing burdensome regulations on businesses to create jobs, and ensuring all students have an opportunity to get a quality education so they can become the best they can be.
This platform is not about rich versus poor. This platform is about making sure the residents of New Jersey have a chance to live out their dreams. Our standard of living in New Jersey is on the decline and the way to fix this is by creating more prosperity for all. A freer New Jersey offers the greatest benefit to those simply looking for the opportunity for success.
AFP is committed to your economic well-being and the economic well-being of all of our residents. We will not rest until New Jersey is once again a flourishing place to live, work and raise a family. As this year moves on we look forward to working with you all to achieve these goals.
