WINDHAM — The New Hampshire chapter of the grassroots free-market group Americans for Prosperity (AFP) today launched a statewide issue ad blitz to encourage Jeanne Shaheen to discard a futile energy plan that won't lower energy prices or significantly increase domestic production. The ad, which begins airing August 14, 2008, will hit every major media market in the state, including Boston. The issue ad quotes from a recent Union Leader editorial and urges citizens to contact Jeanne Shaheen and ask her to support domestic oil production and energy independence.

Al Gore's challenge to have America produce 100 percent of its electricity without a single molecule of carbon is actually a ploy for bigger government. The bottom line is that Gore's calling for higher taxes and government subsidies for alternative energy "solutions" will come at a huge cost to consumers.
