NH Should Adopt Right to Work Legislation

January 29, 2013

WINDHAM – Americans for Prosperity (AFP) New Hampshire is expressing their support for this year’s Right to Work legisaltion.

“Adopting Right to Work would increase freedom by allowing NH workers to choose whether or not to join a union,” said Corey R. Lewandowski, State Director of Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire.  “Additionally, becoming a Right to Work state would lead to more job opportunities for NH workers by attracting new employers to the state.”

HB 323 introduced by Rep. William O’Brien, (Hillborough-5) would prohibit collective bargaining agreements that require employees to join a labor union.  The bill will receive a hearing before the House Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services Committee Wednesday at 9:30AM.

“NH has an opportunity to become the first Right to Work state in New England.  We support this Right to Work bill that will increase freedom of choice for NH workers and encourage economic expansion and prosperity,” Lewandowski continued.
