Americans for Prosperity-NH Disappointed in Joint Health Care Oversight Committee Vote
WINDHAM – Americans for Prosperity New Hampshire State Director, Corey R. Lewandowski, released the following statement on today’s Joint Health Care Oversight Committee Vote regarding the establishment of a heath care exchange in the state.
“We are extremely disappointed to see this Committee vote enabling Governor Hassan to move forward with plans for a health care exchange here in NH,” said Corey R. Lewandowski, State Director of Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire. “We remain hopeful that legislation can be crafted to protect the residents of this state.”
The Joint Health Care Oversight Committee voted 4-2 to allow Governor Hassan to send a letter of intent to the federal Department of Health and Human Services concerning the establishment of a state-federal partnership exchange.
“We oppose the establishment of a health care exchange in the state and will continue to support efforts to prevent or limit the burden placed upon our taxpayers in fulfillment of this federal mandate,” Lewandowski continued.
