Americans for Prosperity-NH Commends Senate Committee Vote on School Choice
MANCHESTER – Americans for Prosperity New Hampshire (AFP-NH) is commending today’s Senate Committee vote to report the anti-school choice bill, HB 370, as Inexpedient to Legislate (ITL). The Senate Health, Education and Human Services Committee voted 3-2 to report the bill as ITL.
“This vote is a positive one for all the families across our state seeking to provide the best education possible for their children,” said Greg Moore, AFP-NH. “We commend the members of the Health, Education and Human Services Committee who voted today for what is in the best long-term interest of our state and our families rather than searching for a short-term revenue source.”
HB 370, which would repeal the education tax credit program established by the legislature last session, was passed by the House in February 188-151.
“We hope the full Senate will support the Committee’s recommendation regarding this anti-school choice bill and allow parents to be empowered to make the best possible choice regarding their children’s education,” Moore continued.
