Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire Hails Liquid RGGI Prohibition
WINDHAM – Americans for Prosperity (AFP) New Hampshire is hailing the Liquid RGGI prohibition as a victory for NH consumers. HB 1487, which would prohibit the state from participating in any Low-Carbon Fuel Standard Program (LCFS) without legislative approval, became law today without the Governor’s signature.
“The Liquid RGGI prohibition which became law today will protect our state’s consumers from being charged a hidden tax on fuel costs,” said Corey Lewandowski, State Director of Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire. “This is a victory for all NH residents.”
Lewandowski testified in support of HB 1487 in January before the House Science, Technology and Energy Committee.
“From the gasoline pump to their home heating costs, NH residents will be spared a hidden tax and increased cost thanks to this new law,” Lewandowski added.
