Americans for Prosperity Launches Accountability Ad Against Shaheen on ObamaCare Costs, Narrow Network and Loss of Health Plans
MANCHESTER – Americans for Prosperity – New Hampshire (AFP-NH) today launched a television ad that holds Senator Jeanne Shaheen accountable for her vote and support for the Affordable Care Act, commonly called ObamaCare. The ad focuses on the narrow network available within the state’s ObamaCare exchange, which will require residents to travel hours to find care with 10 of the state’s 26 hospitals removed from the network, the increased cost of premiums under ObamaCare, as well as the over 22,000 New Hampshire citizens who received notice that their plans have been canceled as a result of the act.
The ad can be viewed here:
“Senator Shaheen’s deciding vote to pass ObamaCare means that our residents will have to drive long distances – in some cases hours – to receive health care, will pay more for their insurance and will lose their health care plans,” said Greg Moore, AFP-NH State Director. “Across the state, in places like Nashua, Derry, Portsmouth, Rochester and Concord, many will lose access to the doctors with whom they have built long-standing, trusted relationships. It’s time for Sen. Shaheen to admit that ObamaCare doesn’t work and join the many members of Congress who are working to find solutions that fix our health care system, instead of a failed government takeover.”
