AFP Foundation-New Hampshire Sponsors “Legacy for Freedom Day” Breakfast
WINDHAM – Americans for Prosperity Foundation-New Hampshire is sponsoring a complimentary “Legacy for Freedom Day” breakfast today at Liberty Harbor Academy in Manchester. The event will include remarks on school choice in New Hampshire from State Senator Jim Forsythe, Representatives Ralph Boehm and Gregory Hill, as well as gubernatorial candidates Ovide Lamontagne and Kevin Smith.
“We are proud to honor Dr. Milton Friedman’s commitment to improving the quality of education available to all children by hosting this discussion on school choice in New Hampshire,” said Corey R. Lewandowski, State Director of Americans for Prosperity Foundation-New Hampshire.
Last month, the NH House and Senate voted to override Governor Lynch’s veto of legislation establishing an education tax credit.
“I was proud to help author the educational tax credit bill passed by the legislature this year,” said Senator Jim Forsythe. “Under this voluntary scholarship program, parents now have more choice on where they send their children to school regardless of income.”
The event is being held to commemorate Milton Friedman Legacy Day and is being hosted by the Foundation for Educational Choice and the Friedman Legacy for Freedom. July 31, 2012 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Nobel Prize winning economist and school choice advocate Dr. Milton Friedman.
“Americans for Prosperity Foundation-New Hampshire provides voters with information on issues, pieces of legislation and candidates for office that impact them,” continued Lewandowski. “We look forward to an engaging and educational discussion on New Hampshire’s school choice legislation as well as Dr. Friedman’s legacy with everyone in attendance.”
