Official Rules for AFP’s New Hampshire Canvassing for Prosperity Contest
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST. A purchase will not improve chances of winning.
Rules for Contest: By participating in this Contest, Participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the final decision of the Contest. Decisions by Americans for Prosperity (AFP) are binding and final in every respect.
Eligibility: Americans for Prosperity’s New Hampshire Canvassing for Prosperity Contest is open to all legal U.S. residents physically residing in New Hampshire. Participants must be at least the age of majority at the time of participation. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. Void where prohibited.
To participate in this Contest, Participants must appear during the Contest Period at the AFP Manchester Field Office (530 Chestnut Street, Manchester, NH 03101) and register for the Canvassing for Prosperity effort and use an assigned electronic tablet with preprogrammed data on locations for canvassing. Participants will work in pairs (two Participants), going door to door, using a pre-approved script and/or literature from AFP during the Contest Period. The top canvassing pair, in AFP’s sole discretion, during the Contest Period will win two Luxury Suite tickets (one ticket for each member of the winning pair) to the Manchester Monarchs Home Opener on October 19, 2012. The prize is not redeemable for cash. The winning Participants will be provided the prize in-person or through U.S. Postal Service or overnight delivery service after such time that AFP confirms the Participant’s qualification for the prize.
A Participant is limited to one prize from AFP from this Contest for each Contest Period. Employees, contractors, subcontractors, agents, board members, and any other individuals otherwise compensated by AFP or any of its affiliates or subsidiaries are not eligible to participate in this AFP Contest. In no event will Sponsor be liable for more prizes than outlined in the Contest Details. Prizes are non-transferable and non-negotiable.
AFP is not responsible for any problems, bugs, or malfunctions Participants may encounter when participating in the AFP-New Hampshire Canvassing for Prosperity Contest and its related technology.
Contest Period: The Contest will run from Thursday, October 11, 2012 through Sunday, October 14, 2012 during normal office hours.
Publicity: Sponsor reserves the right to use for publicity purposes prior to, during, or after the Contest Period, in any media, the Participant’s name, likeness, and city name throughout the world, in perpetuity, without any compensation or prior review, unless specifically prohibited by law.
Taxes: It is the sole responsibility of the winning Participant to pay all federal, state, and local taxes in connection with the prize.
Limitation of Liability, Governing Law, and Venue: Participant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sponsor from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including court costs and legal fees, which result from the Participant’s involvement and participation in the Contest or Participant’s receipt or use of the prize. In no event shall AFP be liable to Participant for special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including without limitation, loss of use of profits, regardless of whether such damages are caused or allegedly caused by breach of contract, tort or otherwise (including negligent or willful act or omission, warranty, indemnity, or strict liability). This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia without regard for conflict of laws doctrine. Participants agree that any legal action arising in connection with the Contest, whether in tort, contract, or otherwise, shall be heard exclusively in the courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Waiver of Jury: As a condition of participating in this Contest, each Participant hereby irrevocably and perpetually waives any right that Participant may have to a trial by jury in respect of any litigation directly or indirectly arising out of, under, or in connection with the Contest, any document or agreement entered into in connection with the Contest, any prize available through the Contest, and any of the transactions contemplated related to the Contest.
Termination: Sponsor reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest at any time.
Trademark: Manchester Monarchs and Americans Hockey League are trademarks of the Americans Hockey League. The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, the Manchester Monarchs or American Hockey League.
