Windham Patch: AFP-NH to Honor Ayotte at Banquet
By Michael Ryan – February 23, 2012
It’s only fitting that a conservative activist group such as Americans for Prosperity would award a “conservative of the year” honor, and this year the acknowlegement will go to New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte.
A banquet will be held by AFP-NH to honor Ayotte at the Grappone Center in Concord on April 20.
AFP-NH Director Corey Lewandowski of Windham released a statement commenting on why Ayotte has been chosen for the recognition.
Senator Ayottes conservative credentials and her commitment to the people of New Hampshire are without question. We are honored that she has agreed to accept this award.
We hope this years event will allow activists from across New Hampshire to gather in recognition of the conservative track record that Senator Ayotte has already established in the U.S. Senate. During her tenure, she has proven to be a clear and consistent voice for conservative principles in Washington, D.C.
This is the second time the honor has been awarded by AFP-NH. According to a release from AFP-NH, Ovide Lamontagne received the award last year in front of 650 guests and five presidential candidates.
