MANCHESTER – Americans for Prosperity – New Hampshire (AFP-NH) today called on Rep. Annie Kuster to take a clear position on ObamaCare. In February, Rep. Kuster appeared on NHPR’s The Exchange and was asked about her support for the legislation. She indicated that she supported to law fully, but that she wanted more states to ‘buy in’ to ObamaCare. “[I]t’s not necessarily about the law per se, but it’s to get buy-in across the country,” said Rep. Kuster then. However, today she changed her position, stating that she supported not implementing a key portion of ObamaCare that cut Medicare funding.
“It’s high time that Rep. Kuster let us know whether or not she supports ObamaCare, because he position is getting murkier by the day,” said Greg Moore, AFP-NH State Director. “She can’t have it both ways. Either she supports the law fully, as she has indicated in the past, or she opposes it. If there are parts of the law that she doesn’t support, she should lead efforts to repeal them. Otherwise, she is just blowing smoke.”
