WINDHAM – Americans for Prosperity New Hampshire State Director, Corey R. Lewandowski, released the following statement on today’s House Ways and Means Committee vote in support of HB 370, which would repeal the education tax credit program established by the legislature last session.
“It is disappointing to see the state’s insatiable need for more revenue triumph over what is in the best interest of NH families,” said Corey R. Lewandowski, State Director of Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire. “This program, which has not even been able to get off the ground yet, would have provided hope in the form of scholarships to parents trying to make the best possible choice regarding their children’s education.”
The House Ways and Means Committee voted HB 370 Ought to Pass by a party-line vote of 10-7.
“We oppose HB 370 and call on the House to render it Inexpedient to Legislate when it comes before the entire legislative body,” Lewandowski continued.
