MANCHESTER – Americans for Prosperity New Hampshire (AFP-NH) is applauding today’s Senate vote to preserve school choice in New Hampshire.
“We applaud the members of the New Hampshire Senate who voted today to allow school choice to continue in New Hampshire and resist following the House’s urge to wrestle control of education away from New Hampshire families,” said Greg Moore, State Director of AFP-NH. “This vote will give parents the ability to make the best possible choice for their children’s education.”
HB 370, which would repeal the education tax credit program established by the legislature last session, was passed by the House in February 188-151. The Senate voted to table the possible repeal of the program which would offer scholarships to New Hampshire families today.
“There is no debating the fact that parents know what is in the best interest of their children,” Moore continued. “We are pleased the Senate recognized this and voted to allow this worthwhile scholarship program to move forward.”
