CONCORD – Americans for Prosperity – New Hampshire (AFP-NH) today offered the following statement in response to the New Hampshire Senate’s vote to pass Senate Bill 413, legislation to implement Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act, commonly called ObamaCare.
“While Washington is moving to put the brakes on ObamaCare, through delaying key provisions and votes against the individual mandate, the New Hampshire Senate took a major step to bring a central component of ObamaCare to the Granite State,” said Greg Moore, AFP-NH State Director. “It’s baffling as to why, with all the manifest problems with this disastrous law, that the Senate would reverse course and suddenly embrace ObamaCare. This is a huge mistake that will hurt working families across the state with lower the quality of care, lead to longer waits to get critical health treatment and a huge fiscal liability in future years. The public deserves better and they will hold the supporters of ObamaCare accountable for the damage this law will do.”
