Nebraska Unemployment Down to 2008 Levels

December 21, 2012

As reported by the Omaha World Herald the unemployment rate in Nebraska is down a tenth to 3.7%, its lowest level since 2008.

Between November 2011 through November 2012, the Nebraska “labor force has grown… by more than 10,000 workers, with about 16,000 more people employed”.

Catherine Lang, Commissioner of Labor, stated that Nebraska has “largely avoided the so-called ‘discouraged worker syndrome’” or the occurrence of individuals not looking for employment.

This is further evidence that pro-growth policies in Nebraska have had a positive effect on our economy.
