AFP-Nebraska Responds to Election Results

Congratulations to President Obama, Senator-elect Deb Fischer, Congressmen Fortenberry, Smith and Terry and all successful Nebraska candidates from yesterday’s elections.

It is clear that America is a nation divided.  We are divided primarily on the best set of policies to recover from our current economic crisis, spending crisis and crisis of leadership.

We call on elected leaders of every political party to put aside ideology, partisanship and political self-interest to put the needs of the American people and our Republic before all else.

Nebraskans overwhelmingly demonstrated a rejection of the policies advocated by President Obama and Bob Kerrey.  As a state we believe in limited government, individual freedom and free market enterprise.  We will continue to advocate for these ideals locally, as well as nationally.

With the support of over 40,000 members of AFP across Nebraska, we will continue to be a strong voice for self-determination and economic freedom over the voices of Big Government.
