LINCOLN, NE – Free market advocacy group Americans for Prosperity-Nebraska will be joined by over 50 grassroots activists traveling to Albion, NE for the Dec. 4th Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality hearing on the Keystone XL pipeline.
“Polling shows 60% of Nebraskans support building the Keystone XL pipeline because it will create jobs, economic opportunity and reduce the demand for imported oil from beyond North America.  That’s why dozens of AFP activists are joining us in Albion to testify at the NDEQ hearing in support of this important project,” said state director Brad Stevens.
“The Nebraska Legislature and NDEQ have created a unique process for our state that respects local control.  This process has successfully moved the pipeline route east of the Sand Hills and protected Nebraska’s most sensitive environmental areas.  With a more favorable route selected, it is time to create jobs and generate economic growth by building the Keystone XL pipeline,” continued Stevens.
Members of the media are invited to contact AFP’s grassroots activists to listen to their story and why they are traveling to Albion to support the pipeline.  To set up an interview with activists, contact Brad at infoNE@afphq.org.
