Unicameral Starts This Week - How You Can Be Prepared

January 08, 2013

It’s all starting again tomorrow! The Nebraska Legislature reconvenes tomorrow, Jan. 9th, with eleven new senators being sworn in.

There will certainly be a lot of contentious issues this legislative session, and we will need your help to build on our past successes and keep grassroots pressure on our new and returning officials to do the right thing.
AFP-Nebraska is here to help you stay up-to-date with the latest developments from the state capitol. Be sure to check out our website regularly as it will be updated constantly with new information throughout the session.
Among other things, the legislature will enact its biennial budget; a budget worth over $3.5 billion in taxpayer money.
We have to make sure that our dollars are spent wisely. And most importantly, we need to make sure government starts spending less of our money!
So, we are asking you to do three things right now:
-      Bookmark our website www.afpnebraska.com and make sure to check it frequently during the legislative session
-      Join us on Facebook and Twitter to stay current with the latest developments
-      Contact us by email or at (402) 261-9332. We want to know what issues are important to you, and what you think our state senators should focus on this session.
We look forward to working with you to ensure our shared values of limited government and economic freedom make significant gains this session!
