Senator Johanns Legislation to Let Congress Vote on Keystone XL Pipeline Restores Congresss Regulatory Power, Enables Job-Creation
Lincoln, NE Americans for Prosperity Nebraska applauds Senator Mike Johanns for introducing legislation to let Congress vote to approve the Keystone XL pipeline. Senator Johanns bill, introduced yesterday, would restore Congresss power to regulate commerce (authorized under Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution) and end the current stalemate over the Keystone XL project.
Job creation has been delayed in Nebraska because the President has overextended his regulatory power and placed politics above prosperity, says AFP-NE State Director Brad Stevens. Senator Johanns bill gives back to Congress the ability to vote and move forward on the Keystone XL project, creating jobs and lowering our energy costs.
We will also have State Board of Education member Bob Evnen and local educators to discuss what makes schools in Nebraska work, and how they can be better.
