Gov. Heineman to Speak at Americans for Prosperity Event

*Rep. Adrian Smith, Auditor Mike Foley join Gov. Heineman in speaking at event Thursday, March 28th*

LINCOLN, NE – Americans for Prosperity-Nebraska, a statewide free market advocacy group, will host its fourth annual ‘Taxpayer Day at the Capitol’ on Thursday, March 28th with Governor Dave Heineman delivering a keynote speech at 2:00pm.

Congressman Adrian Smith and State Auditor Mike Foley will also speak to the need to reduce spending and more wisely spend taxpayer money.

“Taxpayer Day at the Capitol is an opportunity for taxpayers to meet their elected officials, ask questions and learn more about state government,” said state director Brad Stevens.  “This is an opportunity for citizens from across the state to make their voice heard and participate in the democratic process.”

12:00pm – AFP members and all Senators invited to luncheon at Windsor Stables in Downtown Lincoln

12:30pm – Congressman Adrian Smith speaks at Windsor Stables

1:00pm – AFP-Nebraska State Director Brad Stevens presents AFP Legislative Agenda at Windsor Stables

1:30pm – Auditor Mike Foley speaks at Windsor Stables

2:00pm – Gov. Dave Heineman keynote speech at Windsor Stables

3:00pm – Event moves to state capitol and AFP members meet with their State Senators and staff

4:00pm – Adjourn
