LINCOLN, NE – Americans for Prosperity-Nebraska, a free market advocacy group with over 40,000 members statewide, is hosting a rally in support of eliminating the state income tax on Wednesday, Feb. 6th on the west side of the state capitol.  Keynoting the rally will be Joseph Henchman, Vice President of Legal and State Projects for the non-partisan Tax Foundation.

“Joseph Henchman is a nationally recognized expert on tax reform and we are thrilled to have Joseph participate in our effort to repeal Nebraska’s state income tax,” said state director Brad Stevens.

“Eliminating the state income tax means greater take-home pay for hard working Nebraskans and will make our state a magnet for new business relocation and expansion.  Businesses and good-paying jobs are fleeing high-tax states and looking to relocate in states with low cost-of-living and a low tax burden.  Nebraska could attract those jobs with a competitive tax code,” continued Stevens.

WHO: AFP-Nebraska and Tax Foundation Vice President Joseph Henchman

WHAT: Rally for Eliminating the State Income Tax

WHEN: Wednesday, Feb. 6th at Noon

WHERE: West side of the State Capitol (Lincoln Statue)
